Darla Creal
Clients who have questions about their portfolios or need to make changes in their accounts will most likely talk first with Darla. As the key contact person for client services, she is in touch with clients daily by phone, email, or in person. She answers questions, updates information, prepares portfolio reviews, and takes care of any follow-up work that results from the reviews.
As the business manager, Darla also oversees purchases, coordinates events, and makes sure the office building and equipment are maintained. One of her significant accomplishments so far has been organizing and streamlining the finances of KFG and the multiple additional companies that Rick owns. She also is in charge of compliance with the strict regulations of the agencies that oversee financial planning firms.
Darla’s degree from Black Hills State University is in business administration with an accounting emphasis. Before joining KFG in August 2005, she had ten years of experience in public accounting and fifteen years in operations management.
Darla and her husband, Tim, love to travel, relax with family and friends, and go hiking or bicycling in the Black Hills. Traveling to see their daughter, Leah, is one of their greatest joys. Darla has a strong interest in health and nutrition and has recently started doing an annual Yoga/Health Retreat trip. She values quiet time to read, cook, watch movies, and plan travel for her husband and herself.
About working at KFG, Darla says, “I enjoy the flexible environment, open communication, challenging work and small, quiet office. My work in the past has been more accounting. This job includes lots more client service work, which I like.”
